Back over Fourth of July weekend (remember I said I was behind!) we were up at the farm in KY. Lindy usually sticks pretty close to the farmhouse even when we are away. However, she has started to get more brave and this time she branched out. As we were leaving, she tried to follow the car up the long long driveway.
I got worried enough that I did go put her back inside the house and then we left. However, there are dog doors and she has learned how to get out of the house. Which is a good thing when she needs to go take care of business! We were in town most of the day, having fun at G's house. Aaron and I were the first to leave for home. After we crossed the bridge and turned into the woods road to head up the hill . . .
Aaron wondered if we'd see any deer. After all, it was about the right time for them to be out. Then we saw a little brown form darting down the road. Small deer? No, Lindy dog out on a "big adventure" . . . She came running down the hill towards us, we stopped the car and had her jump on in. She had the biggest dog grin on her face and who knows what all she got into while we were gone. I'm just glad she was home safe and I now know that she needs to wear her tags while on the farm in case she goes off adventuring without us again! Check out Two Happy Bellies for Part 1 of her Big Adventure.
