My mother has not gotten to see our new house and all she has been exposed to are the few pictures posted on the blog here and here. So, happy anniversary Mom, I'm going to take you on a virtual tour of the house over the next several weeks. It will take several weeks because many of the rooms are still "works in progress." The one that made us decide we had to view the house? But that I refused to live with once we did buy the house? Well we have made it into a guest bedroom and here is how it looks now.

Sorry about the weird glint of light that came through on these shots, I'm not sure what happened there. However, this room is painted in my favorite shade of green - Behr brand Scotland Road - and it only took two coats after two coats of primer to cover up that bright yellow.
The floral picture on the wall by the window was painted by a friend of my mother's, it is absolutely stunning when viewed up close. Click on the photo to enlarge.
