One of our favorite get out and move hobbies is geocaching. I ran into a friend (hi David!) one day, back in 2008 on the greenway while riding my bike. Since he didn't live in the area I asked what he was doing. He told me a little bit about geocaching and I then told Aaron - we were only dating at the time. Aaron apparently was fascinated and did quite a bit more research on handheld GPS units and before I knew it we owned Ziggy. While we are not obsessed with the game (in other words, vast quantities of time go by between our searches) we have introduced several others to the hobby and have set various challenges up for ourselves.
Well, many cachers want to achieve having found a cache on every day of the year. Today being a date that only comes around every four years, many people made it a goal to get out there and find at least ONE cache today. As did we. After work we hit an area near my job site and found the first in a James Bond theme (sound appropriate for me anyone??) so Dr. No has now been found and we can cross February 29th off the list of days remaining to find a cache.
Unfortunately my brother will not be able to cross today off on his statistics. It is snowing and dark where he is today. And my father usually doesn't go unless us kids are around so I doubt he will achieve it today either. But team WagThatTAIL did!
