Last night was rather interesting. We have two fur babies in our lives already, one feline and one canine. The feline, Stoli, used to ignore me completely. However, since getting pregnant, things have changed a bit. I'm not sure if I smell more interesting with the hormones . . . if she just enjoys me lazing around a lot more . . . or if it was just a matter of time. Anyway, she likes to curl up next to me now (sometimes) when she never used to in the past.
A couple of times now I've woken up in the middle of the night to find her sleeping on or next to me. With the cooler weather, we've been leaving the windows open and night and I think she enjoys the body heat. I woke up this morning about 1:30 and found that she had curled up in front of me and was laying on top of the body pillow I was wrapped around. I thought this was sweet . . . for about 5 minutes.
Then she started to make noises. I thought at first she was just bathing herself, rather noisily, and then she jumped down. It was after she jumped down and I went to shift and the covers moved with me that I felt something wet and sticky. ICK! She had just hairballed all over my body pillow, the sheets, the blanket, everything! I turned on the light to investigate, which of course woke up Aaron, and then we got up. After stripping the bed down pretty much to the essentials, we fell back asleep until the morning in which I had the joy today of washing just about everything . . . twice.
Aaron decided I was much calmer about this having happened to me than he was when it happened to him a while back. I just smiled and said I was practicing for baby.
