It has been a very busy (and expensive) several weeks since I've had time to blog regularly. First we splurged on a new "chair and a half" plus ottoman with my extra paycheck in August . . .
Then there was the need to buy a new air conditioner/heat pump . . .
Then we had a whirlwind trip to Atlanta where we visited The Varsity on a day in which there was DragonCon and three sporting events - crazy us? After lunch we went to IKEA to pick up a dresser and a bookcase.
Unfortunately they were sold out of the bookcase we wanted so we got to test out a local Nashville service - ModernNash and now we have FOUR bookcases along one wall . . .
Next my parents came to town for 2 weeks in which I was spoiled rotten by my father building me not only a canned goods pantry . . .
but also a puppet theatre for using on Wednesday nights at church . . .
They left last Monday and on Tuesday we finally got the floors replaced in the two front bedrooms . . .
Now we just need to deal with all the mess from moving stuff out of those two rooms in preparation of those floors . . .
Here's hoping we get everything cleaned up and out and back to normal (or at least our new normal) soon. We have hit week 20 and I'm having to remind myself to "breathe" . . .
