And the wealth continues . . . after the dinners stopped coming from church friends, dinners started coming from other friends and neighbors!
Italian sausage lasagna with salad, bread, and caramel brownies
Green chile pork enchiladas with beans and rice (and berry cobbler!)
Stuffed shells with salad, bread, and brownie cookies
and Taco Bake (ignore the tablecloth, I haven't switched from Valentine's Day yet because I didn't find a cute St. Patrick's Day one and my Easter was packed away).
We truly have been blessed by the outpouring of people bringing us food. And everything has been so tasty!

We've started to get out of the house more and are having lots of adventures doing so. In the past week we've gone to church and the doctor . . .
eaten at Miller's Grocery . . .
and hung out at Barbara's while the big folks ate Indian food.
I've also learned that my elephant makes noise if I hit it while on the play mat.
This has been a week of BIG adventures for me.
love, tadpole

For years I've taken dinners over to new moms or just home from surgery patients - my go to meal is French dip (made in the slow cooker) with balsamic onions, green beans (made in the slow cooker), and roasted potatoes (see French dip link above for some guidelines). Over the past few weeks I've recieved some very tasty meals in return! I don't have good pictures of all of them however we have been blessed with the following:
Pork tenderloin with vegetables, salad, and brownies (unfortunately we only have a picture of the salad however I *heart* this salad of Kaitlen's!)
Grilled chicken pizza with a cheesy bread and key lime pie (somehow we only got a picture of the cheesy bread above and pie below - oops!)
Broccoli and chicken casserole (above) with fruit salad (below) - this was fabulous - the
only craving I really had while pregnant was for fruit so this really
hit the spot!
Potato soup with fresh veggies and banana pudding

So several (and I mean SEVERAL) months ago we noticed new signage along the M'boro greenway but couldn't figure out what some of the symbols meant. I could guess that N meant North and S meant South but L? and B? Well we finally found the sign that explains the new symbols and it all makes sense now. Plus, it allows for much more safety as you can tell that they updated the milage indicators to work with GPS coordinates for emergency services. Let me once again mention I *love* the Murfreesboro Greenway!

This one is a few weeks late however right after Tadpole and I came home from the hospital, we enjoyed my birthday. My MIL had made me a lovely birthday cake which required some raspberry puree. She had plenty of puree left over so a couple of days later I made waffles for breakfast (using one of the Mark Bittman's recipes in How to Cook Everything) and we drizzled the puree over them.

Since I don't see to have time to do anything else! I did finally get some pictures downloaded so I can share them with you.
Bathtime is more fun when you have frog towels to wrap up in afterwards!
My first outing in my stroller
Enjoying the greenway with my parents and my dog
On my 1 month birthday I've grown an inch (and gained a pound).
Nana took us to ChickFilA to celebrate (well actually we just needed out of the house for a while).
And that is a brief overview of the past couple of weeks. Amazing how time flies!

Intellectually you know it will happen, "nothing" will get done. However when it actually occurs, it is silly how surprised I am. Between feedings and burpings and rockings and trying to do a few chores, I have no clue where my days go. Unfortunately our tadpole is of the gassy version and we've had several days of adjustment recently. He is on a gassy formula, with drops, and the MIRACLE Dr. Brown bottles (seriously, changing to these has changed our life!). Also, holding him elevated for at least 30 minutes after each feeding has really helped.
However time does still fly. Case in point, this simple little post (with no pictures mind you!) has taken me three days to write because I keep getting interupted. I do hope to download pictures soon so I can do an update and show how much he has grown.
