Argh! I just lost the entire post. Let's try again . . .
Some favorites from this past week are:
Tadpole loves the windchimes however sometimes the wind won't blow. Then we have to help them out. He does a great job of grasping it and waving it around. The music might not be so wonderful, but we are practicing motor skills.
He was very excited to get his newest box from The Honest Company. And I was happy to get our next shipment of diapers and wipes. I *love* their wipes and cute designs.
Out at Grandpa and Nana's new house, he had to inspect everything, including the piece of paper on the back of the bookcase. He is going to have so much fun with them (he is having a sleepover tonight while Mommy and Daddy have their annual October fancy dinner date!).
And that sums up week 36. While it almost time to choose favorites from week 37. Boy does time fly!

Well, the dog barked and naptime was over. At least for a little while. However that tired little boy has gone back down again. So now I'm going to share some other favorites from Week 35. Most of these are also from the weekend up in KY . . .
He got to play with the puppies at G's house. They had never been around a baby before. It was quite fun to watch all of them.
A tree was planted at the farm in his honor. He got a semi-dwarf golden delicious apple tree. We love apples!
We got pictures of him in the family gown. Shortly after this he was on the ground and we have grass stains to clean off. Oops!
He played on the swing with Daddy's cousin.
I'm a bad parent. I let him eat McDonald's french fries. Boy did he ever enjoy that!
And last but not least, one from home . . .
We are so thrilled that he already shows an interest in cookbooks ;-)
On to week 36? Please puppy, don't bark and wake up your baby.

I'm not catching up as fast as I'd hoped. When "they" tell you that kids take up a lot of time, "they" are right! Right now he is napping and I have the choice of laundry or shower. I opted for laundry (and blogging) as I'm not heading out until later today and should be able to shower after Daddy gets home and can watch the kid. We went to Versailles, KY for the family reunion a couple of weeks ago and while there we went to Boyd's Orchard for some good apple cider, donuts, and photos.
We had our picture taken in the ginormous chair. That was an effort to get in and out of . . .
When we went to have lunch, Tadpole stole my apple cider slushie. I have no clue how he did NOT get brain freeze but he just kept sucking on that straw.
Third picture in a row with me in it. I think this is a new record! Not only did Tadpole "drive" the train, we also got pics of him in the peach, apple, and pumpkin. However I think my favorite might be their giant "corn on the cob"
Besides, we had to have at least one photo with Daddy!
I was very sad that his cousins K and N did not make it to the reunion b/c Tadpole was the only "little" there that weekend. It would have been a lot of fun to have photos of all three of them together. Hopefully they will make it next year!

Last week for right now . . .
Remember how I mentioned those teeth were coming? Well we spent a lot of time trying out different teething remedies. This week a caterpillar teething ring was the favorite (last week it was a frozen raspberry ring). He also showed off how well he can play with his toes and Mommy taught Daddy the old trick about having eleven toes (or fingers). This month's book arrived and it was a board book with the original Winnie the Pooh. I have Peter Dennis' voice in my head again.
He shows off that he is 26 1/2 inches tall and weight 18 1/2 pounds. What a big boy! How big is Tadpole? So big . . .
Next food was sweet potato which has been the biggest hit (and the easiest to prep and freeze). Yay for all those vitamins.
That has caught me up from the September craft night. We had the October craft night this week but I need to get my photos taken so I can upload them and continue on. Fingers crossed that also happens this week while I'm on vacation!

Sweet - another week! (Doesn't take much to make me happy these days . . .)
We had a lot of fun on Fourth of July. We spent it with family as usual and he learned to anticipate the tickles that were coming his way. He also figured out how to roll this week and we realized it was time to start that babyproofing. Don't forget the obligatory cookie. Mommy and Daddy were happy to eat it for our toothless son.
However, the teeth are coming. He is trying to chew on everything! He also enjoyed playing in the johnny jump up, so much we bought one for our house to compliment the one at the babysitters. We got some pictures of him playing with his humpty dumpty doll made by his girls and we started him on non-baby cereal. He loved the avocado!

On to the next week!
Oh how I miss those days when he slept through the night. Those were short lived to say the least! I also still laugh at the picture on the lower left. My so not interested in breast feeding son . . . I think he is laughing at his daddy putting him in this onesie to take the photo as well. Luckily it was a hand me down so we spent no money on that one. He did enjoy the exersaucer for a while. Another item I miss since he doesn't like it so much now. He wants to GO!
He does still love to hang upside down so we can still amuse him that way. At least when my shoulder and elbow are killing me. Some people get tennis elbow? I've got tadpole elbow! You can see that we are at work creating our own lyrics again. He definitely is "our sunshine" so we loved those pajamas . . . week Twenty-One, here we come.

Somehow I missed posting several weeks worth that were finished last month. Oops! Luckily I'm on vacation this week so I'm going to do some major catching up!
Week Nineteen and we started eating solids. Rice cereal was a hit and not once did we have the tongue thrust people tell warned us about. We also enjoyed spending some time outdoors. Tadpole definitely enjoys being outside. I just hope he doesn't end up with all my allergies!
We also went to the drive-in and that was a blast. Just look at that happy boy: eating, movies, car seat, and big boy bed . . . now on to week Twenty!

So in an attempt to catch up (again) Mommy is going to post a couple of favorites from the past weeks:
I'm coming to get you . . .
and don't you hear the theme from Jaws?
I wore my new tie to church . . .
and my parents let me try "puffs" . . .
as for week 35, Mommy has to narrow down the choices. We went to a family reunion and the camera was constantly clicking!
