Several years ago for Christmas, a co-worker gifted me with Cherchie's Champagne Mustard. I fell in love with it and have purchased many jars over the years. I’ve also enjoyed trying some of their other flavors. The Key Lime one was weird – I notice they don’t have it on their website anymore. However I do try to keep jars of the Hot Banana Pepper Mustard in the house at all times along with the Champagne for my lunchbox sandwiches (makes lunch much more fun with the boring turkey and cheese has a gourmet mustard with it). And my new favorite? The Cranberry Mustard! I discovered this one about this time last year. I set it out with pretzel sticks for snackies and everyone raves about how good it is. For a while they didn’t have it on the website and I was concerned that they had discontinued it. However, while buying my father his birthday present (Happy Birthday Daddy!) I saw that it is back so I might just be stocking up soon. They do suggest keeping the unopened jars in the fridge as well to maintain the heat so I always have to balance my stocking up with the room in my fridge.
While it was not available for purchase, I did start looking at making my own. I kept some recipes and a few empty jars so if I do . . . I’ll let you know how it turns out.
